LOGAN, UTAH– Don C. Crandall, age 69, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2006.
Don was born October 25, 1936 in Rupert, Idaho to Vernon Page and Thelma Erayma Norton Crandall. He graduated from Burley High School, in Burley, Idaho in 1954. He enlisted in the US Air Force on August 18, 1954 and served for 20 years.
He did his basic training in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Radio Operators School in Biloxi, Mississippi in 1955. He was stationed at Clark AFB in the Philippine Islands, Kadena AFB in Okinawa and March AFB in California.
On July 9, 1957 he married Ilene Whitaker in the Logan LDS Temple. They lived in Parris, California; Dunstable, England and San Antonio, Texas. Don also served in Baltimore, Maryland, Peshowan AFB in Alaska and San Angelo, Texas before they made their home in Logan, Utah in 1975.
Don worked as a custodian for Utah State University and Cache County School District. He also served in many positions of responsibility throughout the world in the LDS Church.
He is survived by their three sons, Don (Melanie) of Deer Park, Texas, Wallace (LoRee) of Pickerington, Ohio and Kent (Kristi) of Logan. He has 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00am on Thursday, February 9 at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center. Viewings will be held from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Wednesday, February 8 and 9:00 to 9:45am on Thursday, The burial will be at the Grand View Cemetery in Elba, Idaho after the funeral.
