Logan, Utah: Douglas Marlow Jessop died on July 15, 2005 in his home of a massive heart attack. He was born on December 30, 1958. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Marlow M. Jessop and Francis June Cooper, a brother baby boy Jessop and daughter Sarah Lucero. He is survived by his wife, Sue Ellen Monson Jessop, children: Ray (Sandra) Lucero, Daniel Lucero, Lisa Lucero, Cynthia Nina Lucero, and 7 grandchildren: Brandi, Tremayne, Trevor, Phillip, Jamir, Janet and Elisea. He is also survived by his sisters: Marlene (Dean) Cooper, Deann (Stan) Watts, Sandra (Tom) Jessop, Schooley and Gloria Buckingham.
Doug was most known for his Christmas spirit. He would have one of the most decorated yards in all of Cache Valley. He enjoyed dressing up as Santa Claus for all of the children. Doug loved life and enjoyed being the “neighborhood boy scout” for all of the elderly on the block. Doug was very proud of his garden that he and his wife worked very hard on. If you were lucky enough to have tasted any of his cooking, you know how great he was at it.
Doug drove truck in his younger years and worked at Thiokol as a custodian for years. Doug was a loving husband and father to his 5 kids and 7 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, July 21, 2005 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the mortuary, and one hour prior to services on Thursday. Interment will be in the Whitney, Idaho Cemetery.
