Miles Duane Roundy Jr., 92, of Wellsville, Utah quietly passed away on April 26, 2023, four days before his 70th wedding anniversary to the love of his life, Patsy. He was born on December 30,1930 in Logan, Utah to Miles Roundy Sr. and Elaine Reed Roundy. He grew up in the Provo/Orem area. After graduating high school, he served a mission in the West Central States for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Duane met Patsy "with a knock on the door" while serving his mission in Montana. They were married April 29,1953 in the Manti, Utah temple. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many church callings. He had a strong and firm testimony of his Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his loving wife Patsy, children Christine (Dennis) Mitton, Debbie Roundy, Kevin (Sara) Roundy, Rennie Roundy, sister Myrna (Dick) Hansen, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his daughter JaNae (Robert) Jones and brother Paul (Eileen) Roundy.
Duane spent the early part of his career as a brick mason, even building his own home. He later retired from the DDO and spent many years enjoying his work as a custodian at South Cache and Willow Valley. He loved woodworking, history, weather reporting, gardening and spending time with his family. He will always be remembered for his sweet, gentle spirit. The examples and life lessons he has left behind will remain in our hearts forever.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Black Smith Fork Assisted Living. At the family’s request, a private service will be held on May 1, 2023 at Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan.
Interment will be at the Wellsville City Cemetery.
