Dustin (Dusty) Daniels Brown, age 24 of Altus, passed away Monday, February 27, 2006 from complications of diabetes.
Dusty was born on July 6, 1981 at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida to Dennis Linne` and Yvonne Kay (Farrell) Brown. Moving to Altus from Ramstein AFB, Germany, Dusty was an avid soccer player and later assisted with coaching soccer for a number of years in the city league soccer program and as a volunteer coach with the high school soccer program. A graduate of Altus High School, with the class of 1999, Dusty was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In addition to enjoying soccer, Dusty was a gifted writer of poetry and other literature and was an Eagle Scout. Beginning in August 2000, Dusty served a mission for his church in the Washington Spokane Mission for two years.
Preceded in death by his cousin, Dixie Hazelton, he is survived by his parents, Dennis and Yvonne Brown of Altus, Oklahoma; one brother, Cory Brown of Phoenix, Arizona; one sister, Lindsay Brown of Altus, currently serving a mission for her church in Italy; grandparents, Francis and Loa Brown of Logan, Utah and Vincent J. and Louise Farrell of Columbus, Georgia along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.
Funeral services be conducted Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan, Utah at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Logan City Cemetery.
