Earl Putnam Leonhardt of Providence, Utah, age 73, passed away in his sleep Thursday, September 1 while camping with his brother Louis. He was born on July 15th, 1949, son of the late Oliver and Loral (Putnam) Leonhardt.
Everyone who knew Earl felt his big heart and giving nature. He will be missed especially by his surviving family including his daughter (Jacqueline), son (Michael) and many grandchildren with whom he spent so much of his time building lifelong memories. He was a fan of the Dodgers and the Raiders and loved following the action of the teams. He embraced the outdoors with a passion for fishing, hunting, panning for gold and outdoor photography. He was known for his outstanding vegetable garden each year which fed family, friends, and others as he donated the extra to those in need. Earl was an amazing soul and will be dearly missed.
The family will be hosting a graveside memorial service at 11 AM September 8th, 2022, in the Providence Cemetery (925 River Heights Blvd, River Heights, UT 84321). Immediately following the service, the family welcomes friends to Von Baer Park (350 E Center St, Providence, UT 84332) for light refreshments and conversation.
