Edith Beyler Anderson Pack, 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 13, 2007, at the Sunshine Terrace.
Born on September 12, 1925, to Leo and Gladys Beyler in Malta, Idaho, Edith was the fifth of nine children. After graduating from Raft River High School, she married Lawrence Rexie (Larry) Anderson in the Logan LDS Temple on December 7, 1943. They resided in Logan, Utah where they raised six children. Edith was active in the church, holding many leadership positions, including Young Women's President and Primary President. She always had a special love for children and nurtured them in her own tender way. Edith spent many years working at First Security Bank alongside her husband. Larry passed away on November 8, 1976. On February 12, 1982, she married L. Fred Pack and moved to California for several years before they returned to Logan.
After many happy and fulfilling years, Edith, or Edie as she came to be known, suffered a debilitating stroke in January, 2000 and from that time resided in the Sunshine Terrace. While there, she continued her positive and noble life. She became the bright light of the Terrace, always ready with a smile for everyone she saw. She remained an anchor of faith and strength for her family and friends. Though she had lost her ability to speak, she was always able to miraculously communicate her thoughts and feelings and deeply touch those who heard her sing, in church, the hymns she loved. Her Christ-like humility and true charity for all will continue to be an example of grace and endurance for those of us who knew and loved her so dearly.
We sincerely appreciate and wish to thank the dedicated staff at the Sunshine Terrace for their loving care of Edie.
Edie will be forever missed. She is survived by her husband, Fred Pack; her children, Craig (Bonnie) Anderson, Sheriee (Vern) Staub, Darcel Baber, Teri Brown, Colette (Jerry) Dalebout, and Lance Anderson; her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her siblings, VeLoy Buckingham, Ressa Thompson, Grant Beyler, Lamont Beyler, and Yvonne Monson.
