Eloise Christensen Hansen

Eloise Christensen Jones Hansen died on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. She was the last child of Ernest and Esther Christensen of Richmond. Her family included brothers Seth, Lee, and sister Noreen.

She graduated from North Cache High School in 1950 and Dee Memorial Nursing School in Ogden. Mom married Victor Dee Jones in 1953 in the Logan LDS Temple. Eloise and Victor were in a tragic automobile accident later that same year in which Victor was killed. Mom was in the hospital recovering for months.

She gave birth to Susan in April of 1954. Susan and Mom returned to Richmond where they lived with Grandma and Grandpa for the next ten years.

In November of 1963, Mom married Norvel “Nog” Hansen. Together they had two daughters, LaDawn (Kent) Coburn and Bonnie (David) Odd.

For many years, mom worked as a nurse. She enjoyed her summer work at Tupperware conventions as well as her time as a nurse at Sunshine Terrace and at the student clinic at Utah State. She truly loved working for Dr. George Gasser, Dr. Omar Budge, and Dr. Clair Payne. She loved her career as a nurse.

Mom was an Aggie through and through. Dad traveled with the teams often and mom would be home with the radio on listening to KVNU and the Aggies. The family attended every home game. Mom was also involved in Lambda Delta Sigma, the LDS sorority on campus. She loved those girls.

Mom has 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Funeral services are at the Allen-Hall Mortuary and will take place Wednesday, December 28th at 11 a.m. with a viewing Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm and prior from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at the Logan City Cemetery.
