Eugene L. (Gene) Corbridge passed away peacefully on Friday, May 18, 2018 surrounded by his family. Dad was born on May 15, 1929 to Earl and Selma Corbridge in Preston, Idaho. He just celebrated his 89th birthday. He was the oldest of four children and grew up in Idaho and Utah. He was drafted into the Army and served during the Korean War. Dad graduated from Utah State University and was hired as a Range Conservationist for the BLM. He worked in Nevada, Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. He met his sweetheart in Fillmore, Utah and married her, Mary Helen Nicksic Corbridge, on March 21, 1959 in the Manti Temple. After raising a family together and giving us such a great example of marriage, she died way to soon in 1997; he later married Peggy Kay Nicksic Griffiths Corbridge on May 18, 2002. They loved and took care of each other for many years until Peggy passed away in 2017. Dad was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in a variety of positions over the years including scout leader, home teacher, Sunday School teacher, and Branch President for Battle Mountain, Nevada. Dad loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting with his family. He loved to watch football and play tennis and later enjoyed playing pickleball with a great group of friends in Logan, Utah. Dad will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his children Kim (Dean) Balaszi, David (Leslie) Corbridge, Jode Packer, and Brenda (Doug) Gregg; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; his sister Marlene Roberts and brothers Terry (Carla) Corbridge and Denny Corbridge. He was preceded in death by his wives Mary Helen Nicksic Corbridge and Peggy Kay Nicksic Griffiths Corbridge and his parents Earl and Selma Corbridge.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan, on Saturday, May 26 from 9:30-10:30 a.m.. A graveside service will be held at the Preston, Idaho cemetery at 11:00 a.m..
