Farrell Robert Broberg
Hyrum, Utah: Farrell (Fudd) Broberg, 81, passed away of complications of COPD on March 31, 2010 surrounded by his loved ones.
Born October 1, 1928 in Nibley, Utah at the Bair family farm which is the Furiman farm. Born a son to Frank and Juna Bair Broberg.
He was reared and educated in Logan, Utah. He graduated from High School and had two years of College.
He served in the US Army (1947-1948) as a military policeman.
He married Coleen Trolsen and from this union they had four children. They were later divorced. He then married Carol Chugg and from this union they had three children.
Dad was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and going for rides. Dad taught his children the love for the outdoors.
He began a bricklaying career in the 1940's. He became a brick contractor in the Salt Lake City area for many years.
He moved back to Cache Valley and worked for LaVon Nielsen and Sons and Steve John masonry. Over the years Dad made many friends through this trade. He was a perfectionist in all his work and taught his sons and many young men the trade. Dad will always be remembered for his work as a brick mason. Dad is back with his buddies the “non game takers” We love you DAD!
Survived by his wife, Carol; all his children, Susan (Joe) Pipala, Jacksonville, Florida; Craig (Leona) Broberg, Fremont, California; Debbie (Bill) Kunz, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Scott (Rome) Broberg, Rock Springs, Wyoming; Cindy (Jeff) Nielsen, Hyrum, Utah; Frank Broberg, Hyrum, Utah; Lisa Broberg, Hyrum, Utah; step children, Laura Medrano, Logan, Utah; Ed (Shelly) Pilkington, Logan, Utah; 23 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both parents, one brother and one grandchild.
There will not be any services as per Dad’s request.
