Providence, UT - Faun Murdock passed away the morning of January 18, 2025, peacefully at home. Born November 28,1940, to Gladys Hunsaker and Marion Larsen Murdock in Sugar City, Idaho. He was the sixth child of seven; Alve Murdock, Patricia Hansen, Marilyn May, Marion (Ted) Murdock, Myrna Arbon, and Dixie Davis. He married Patricia Davis on November 4, 1959, their marriage was later solemnized in Logan LDS Temple on March 24, 1961. Faun and Pat had five children together; Lisa (Craig) Madsen, John (Melissa, deceased) Murdock, Maryann (Carl) Higgins, Katy (Jim) Williams, Elizabeth (Jared) Crane.

Faun graduated from Logan High School in 1959 and started his first job as a milkman, he quickly moved on to becoming a Master Brick Mason. Faun had his contractors license for many years and was much sought after as a brick mason for his skill. Due to a serious illness, Faun gave up brick-laying and moved into the trucking industry as a driver, dispatcher, and broker. Upon his retirement, Faun served as an Officiator in the Temple. During his life, Faun held many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Among those callings, Faun served as a Bishop and member of a Stake Presidency.

Faun is survived by all his children, 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and two siblings, Alve and Myrna. Pat and the family would like to thank the CNS Home Health Services for all their good care of Faun and their compassion and kindness toward him over the last two years. Robert really went above and beyond by attending the temple with Faun so he could be there for Katy and Jim’s wedding. And a special thanks to Christine who created a special formula to protect Faun’s skin.
