Faye Lauritzen Johnson passed away Dec. 3, 2017 in Logan, Cache, Utah.
Faye was born in Hyrum, Utah to Heber Lauritzen and Stella Obray Laurtizen. Her mother died at her birth so she was raised by a loving Uncle Hilary and Aunt Maud Obray in Paradise, Utah.
Faye grew up in Paradise and graduated from South Cache High School in 1948. She was chosen to attend the first Girls State ever held at Utah State University.
Faye met her sweetheart Norval Johnson at a dance in Hyrum and they were married in August, 1948. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. They raised their family in Benson and celebrated their 69th anniversary in August, 2017.
Faye and Norval were blessed with four children: Sharon (Joseph) Gould, Ogden, Utah; Kent (Julie) Johnson, Richmond, Utah; Geralynn (Nick) Galloway, Benson, Utah; and Tacy (Merrill) Bird, Logan, Utah.
Faye and Norval have 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren.
Faye has one brother-in-law Grant Lieshman, Roy, Utah; a sister-in-law Doris Thurston, Hyrum, Utah. Her sisters Verda Obray Tams, Libbie Lauritzen Poppleton, Loy Leishman and a brother, J. Lynn Lauritzen, are deceased.
Throughout the years Faye has held many positions in the LDS Church. She hated cook, but loves gardening, decorating, and oil painting. Many of her paintings grace the homes of her family and friends. Faye and Norval loved to travel and have enjoyed many cruises to various parts of the world. Faye also loved visiting with many wonderful family and friends. She was so very proud of her wonderful family and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, Dec. 7th at the Benson LDS church, 3432 North 3000 West in Benson. A viewing will be held from 6-8 pm on Wednesday evening at the Benson LDS Church and from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services on Thursday. Interment will be in the Paradise City Cemetery.
