Preston - Floyd Lindsey Tracy, 99, saddled his horse and rode on out, early Tuesday morning. He was born July 25, 1915 to Charles Benjamin Tracy and Celestia Chadwick in Yost, Utah and was the youngest of 12 children. He is survived by his two children, Stuart (Vickie), and Doug, from his first marriage to Roberta Rasmussen whom he later divorced. Floyd then moved to Brigham City, Utah where he met and married Vilda Young Bartchi from Providence, Utah where they made their home. They were later sealed in the Logan, LDS temple. Her surviving children are Janis, Brent and Julia. After Vilda passed away, Floyd moved to Preston, Idaho where he met and married Floris Chadwick Purser. Her surviving children are Allen (Vicki), Irene (Ross), Nancy (Darwin), Dennis (Donalene), DeAnn (Curtis), Peggy (Kevin - deceased), Patti (Brent), Dixie (Clark) and Paul.
Floyd was preceded in death by both his parents and all his brothers and sisters; Horace, Olive, Malinda, Abraham (Abe), Henry, Elsie, Lawerence, Josie, Lillian, Delia, and Sarah.
Floyd was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved helping his neighbors. He was a faithful home teacher and went to the temple often. He was always smiling and laughing. Floyd loved to dance and he loved the outdoors. He spent a lot of time with his family and friends camping, riding horses, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling and water skiing. Floyd liked to be busy and was always fixing something or working on a project around the house. There is not enough room in this column to sum up a life of nearly 100 years and all the people whose lives have been blessed because of Floyd, just know that they are many and he will be missed by us all.
