Gail Darlene Youngs Wolfgram returned to her loving Heavenly Father on Tuesday May 24, 2011. She passed away peacefully after a sudden illness in Ogden, Utah.
She was born on September 15, 1951 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Alfred and Doris Youngs. She was the youngest of three children and was affectionately nicknamed, 'the caboose'. She grew up in Canada and moved to the states to attend Rick's College. There she met her husband, Glen Wolfgram of Michigan. On May 28, 1971 they were sealed in the Logan Temple for time and all eternity. She lived in Cache Valley for 27 years where she and her husband raised their seven children. Gail and Glen are both of an independent and entrepreneurial spirit. Together they owned and operated several businesses. One of which was the adored Blue Goose restaurant which served downtown Logan for 10 years. In 2005 she moved to Vancouver, BC to care for her father after the death of her angel mother. He passed away in 2009 and she and Glen returned to live in Ogden, Utah in 2010. She was always involved in her community whether volunteering at an
elementary school or cooking for and feeding people in need. She loved to laugh and was a friend to everyone. She enjoyed getting to know new people and learning about other cultures. She was a light to many souls and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her eternal companion Glen Ernest Wolfgram of Ogden, Ut. and children, Ann Vanderhoof of Independence, Ky., David Wolfgram of Ogden, Ut., Julie Wolfgram of Eugene, Or., Karen Kelly of Providence, Ut., Jenny Wolfgram of Ogden, Ut., Heather Wolfgram of Vancouver, BC., Katie Wolfgram of Vancouver, BC and her sister Carole Stevens of Milton-Freewater, Or. and brother Mark Youngs of Keller, Tx. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude for the excellent care administered by the staff at Mckay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 28, 2011 in the Young Ward Chapel, 2394 West 2200 South in Young Ward. A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan, and prior to services at the church on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
