Gayle B Pickett

March 13, 1926 — July 1, 2013

Gayle Bradshaw Pickett passed away peacefully on July 1, 2013. Born on March 13, 1926, to Blanche and Hershall Bradshaw, Wellsville, Utah. She married Farrell Pickett on August 16, 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. After 68 years of marriage, Farrell passed away on July 12, 2004.
Gayle was a member of the Providence 1st, 4th, and 8th wards where she held numerous church positions. Gayle and Farrell worked as officiators in the Logan LDS Temple.
Gayle loved playing the piano and organ. She was ward organist and accompanied many musical groups. She loved to read, do embroidery work, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren at family gatherings.
Gayle was preceded in death by her husband, Farrell; Parents, Hershall and Blanche Bradshaw; her sister, Carol Nielsen; and Hinckley Dattage, great-grandchild.
Gayle is survived by her children: Carolyn (Stephen) of Pleasant View; Tamra Dattage (Elden) of Providence; Wendee Burningham (Randy) of Centerville; Brad (Chay) of Kaysville; Craig (Carol) of Perry; Blake (Julie) of Providence; and Wade (Karen) of Vancouver, Washington. She is survived by her sister, Stella (Alvin). She had 27 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, July 6, in the Providence 8th Ward chapel at 155 North 100 East, Providence. A viewing will precede the funeral at 10 a.m. at the 8th Ward chapel.
The family would like to thank the Beehive Homes in Perry and Encompass (Alpine) Health Care/Hospice for their loving care of mother.
