Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Gerald Andrew Hanna, 64, passed away with complications due to cancer on Dec. 1, 2009, at Logan Regional Hospital.
He was born on Jan. 4, 1945, to Verna Ellen Sprague and adopted by Thelma and A.J. Hanna. Jerry and his wife, Linda, were high school sweethearts. They both enjoyed roller skating and have fond memories of the Shamrock Roller Rink. Both Jerry and Linda were converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were married on Jan. 11, 1964, and later sealed for time and all eternity in the Oakland Temple on July 20, 1974. They loved the gospel and raised their five children in that faith.
Jerry was a jack of all trades. He loved to work around the house, fixing things and making things beautiful. He worked in several different careers throughout his life, but his love was working as an electrician. He spent the last few years of his life working on genealogy. He loved to do research and find his ancestors. Jerry was always joking around. He loved spending time with his family just talking and enjoying each other’s company. He will be missed and remembered always. We are grateful we had time on earth to feel his spirit and love.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Timothy, Nina, Mary (Sage), Ben and Cherie; and his grandchildren, Timothy, Ashley, Courtney, Nikki, Kaci, Mindi, Tanika, Brendan and Tausha.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, in the Millville 5th Ward meeting house, 110 South Main Street, Millville, Utah. A viewing will be held directly before from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. All friends and family are invited to attend. Interment will be in the Millville City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at
