They made their home in Wellsville, where they raised seven children. As their family grew, she had a prompting to go back to school and pursue a career in the nursing field. He passed away March 2, 1996.Mom loved writing. Her family enjoyed her poems, letters and annual Christmas stories. She also wrote the lyrics to two Primary songs for the children in her ward. In addition to being a published author for the National SIDS Foundation, she also received two Golden Poet awards. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. After her husband passed away, she worked at the Logan LDS Temple for more than 10 years, which she truly loved. She spent her final years at the Beehive Assisted Living Center in Logan. Mom made many dear friends there, especially Ida Mae Parker. She and Ida had a very sweet relationship that, as her family, we will always cherish.
