Glen Merlin Hudson, 78 of Mendon Utah, passed away at his home Sunday, July 23, 2023, from
complications of a stroke that he suffered 4 years ago.
Glen was born July 16, 1945, to Harry Hudson and Leona Jorgensen Hudson. He was the baby
of five boys. He spent his childhood and early adult years in Providence, Utah. He attended
Cache County schools and graduated from South Cache High School.
Glen married Linda Louise Gibbons in the Logan LDS temple on July 19, 1968. They recently
celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary together. Glen met Linda at the A&W drive-in on main
street in Logan, when his car wouldn't start, and she helped him push it out onto the road. Glen
often would say " And you have been pushing me ever since."
He was a master floor covering technician and worked for several different floor covering
businesses over the years. His last working years before retirement were spent at USU in the
Facilities department, where he got the chance to work with some lifelong friends. Glen always
enjoyed turning something old and worn out into something new and beautiful.
Glen loved old classic cars and during his younger years spent lots of time working on them.
And sometimes driving them too fast. He loved his yard and especially all the flowers, he had
a green thumb and could make any flower grow. Linda has tried to keep the yard up to his
standards the past 4 years but has always felt that it never quite ever looked the same. He also
loved to go on hunting and fishing trips especially if his children and grandchildren were
involved. Many people did not realize that Glen was a really good artist and could draw or paint
almost anything he set his mind to. And my how he loved our animals, all our dogs and
cats—and a good water fight with the grandkids and Jace.
Together Glen and Linda had four children. Jeremy Glen Hudson- (Casadee) Mendon, Utah; Jentry Louise Beazer (Cody) Providence, Utah; Jerrett Joseph Hudson (Heather) Orlando, Florida; Jace William Hudson (Richelle) Smithfield, Utah.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, his four children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
His brothers Gary Hudson, Mendon Utah and Lewis Hudson Orem Utah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Harry Junior and Eugene Hudson and of
course his wonderful walking companion Gus, our chocolate lab.
The family would like to give a very warm and heartfelt thanks to Intermountain IHC Hospice,
what special people you are. Thank you.
Also, a special thanks to all the family, friends and neighbors who have helped us during this one
of a kind journey.
Glen will be laid to rest in the Mendon City cemetery. In lieu of flowers -Please buy someone
you love a box of dark chocolates and spend time enjoying them together.
A celebration of Glen’s life will be held on Friday, July 28th at 11 a.m. at Allen Hall Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Mendon City Cemetery.
