Glendon June Guymon

June 2, 1924 — April 2, 2009

Glendon June Guymon, 84, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009, at the Sunshine Terrace Nursing Home. He was born June 2, 1924, in Orangeville , Utah , the son of Noah Thomas and Isabelle Guymon. He married Virginia Mae Asay in the Manti Temple on July 14, 1943. He is survived by his wife, Virginia of Logan, his daughter June Guymon of Logan, his daughter Kathleen Robinson (Jim) of Preston , Idaho and son Paul (Cindy) of Crystal Lake , Illinois . He is also survived by eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.

He graduated from Utah State Agricultural College (USU) with a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural education. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He held several teaching positions in Utah , California and Wyoming . He retired from Presto Products in Lewiston , Utah . He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He held positions in each of the organizations except Primary. He served two Stake Missions in California .

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street with Bishop Todd Peterson conducting. Viewings will be held at the Allen Hall Mortuary Monday April 6, 2009, from 6-8 P.M and from 930-10:30 A.M. on April 7, 2009.

Interests included fishing, hunting, reading, gardening and writing poetry. He was the happiest when traveling and teaching his children and grandchildren.
