Providence, Utah: Guy Perry, 71, lost his valiant 6-year battle with cancer on November 7, 2010.
Guy was born in New York City on April 23, 1939. He spent his youth in Los Angeles, CA. After graduation from Garfield High School in 1957, he joined the Air Force and spent four years as a judo instructor. He was a Third Degree Blackbelt.
In 1963, Guy went to Alaska and worked in the oil fields. He later moved there with his wife and two children and spent four years working for Sears. He then moved to Tucson, AZ and in 1976 earned his B.A. from the University of Arizona. In 1972, he moved to Boise, ID and worked for 10 years as a realtor.
On October 20, 1983, he married Gaye Nill. They lived in Boulder, CO, and Whidbey Island, and then moved to Northern California in 1986, where they had a wallpapering business for 16 years. In 2006, Guy and Gaye retired to and moved to Providence, UT.
Guy is survived by his wife, Gaye, 4 children, 5 grandchildren, 2 brothers and a sister.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 13, 2010 in the Providence 6th Ward Chapel, 262 Canyon Road in Providence. Condolences may be sent to the family at
