Haven B Hendricks

Haven B Hendricks, age 76, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Saturday, June 2nd, 2018, of natural causes. Haven was born in Pocatello, Idaho on August 13, 1941 to Jerry and Jennie Hendricks. Haven grew up in the Pocatello and Blackfoot Idaho areas. He graduated from Snake River High School in 1959 and then served in the Australia South mission.

He attended the University of Idaho where he met and married his wife, Gail. He earned an MS and PhD at Purdue University. He worked for several years in the Midwest as a district extension agent. He then relocated with his family to Utah where he taught at Utah State University for over 25 years in the Animal Science department. He was well loved by his students. He enjoyed his lifelong interests in livestock and agriculture, but slowed down in recent years due to Alzheimer’s.

He is survived by his wife Gail, his six children: Russ (Lisa), Holly Fronk (Hal), Kendall (Kim), Todd (Kim), Scott and Brett Hendricks, and 16 grandchildren. Haven is also survived by his three siblings, Shirley, Deloy and Gary.

A viewing will take place Friday, June 8, 2018 at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center in Logan, from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Providence 4th Ward chapel, 100 East 100 North in Providence, beginning at 12:00 pm with a viewing prior from 10:30 to 11:30 am.
