Hazel May Nielsen

Hazel Andrews Olson Chapman Nielsen , 91, passed away November 16th, 2008 at the home of her daughter, Alice.
Hazel was born May 31st ,1917 to John and Mary Alice Andrews in Logan , Utah. She married Neil Olson July 27th, 1937. They were divorced in 1953. Together they had 4 children, Myrna (Paul) Maughan, Martinez, CA , Jerry (deceased) ( Betty) Olson, Page, AZ, Kendall (Colleen) Olson, Murray, Utah, Alice (John) Bosworth, Syracuse, Utah..
Survived by 2 siblings John Dale Andrews and Wanda Sheen, Los Osis, CA; 24 grandchildren and 63 great grand children and one great-great grand child. Hazel married James Chapman July 20th, 1966. Their marriage was later sealed in the Logan Temple. James passed away January 20th, 1978..
She married Carl Nielsen on November 14th, 1986. Carl passed away in January 1993.
Hazel was active in the LDS Church and served in many capacities..
One of her greatest joys was serving in the Logan Temple. She was known for her unwavering testimony through difficult times. Her interests included gardening, playing the piano, organ, dancing and spending time with her family. Hazel was known for always showing love and concern for others.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the LDS Chapel at 1625 South 1100 West in Syracuse. A viewing will be held on Friday, November 21, 2008 from 6pm to 8pm at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center in Logan, and from 9:30 am to 10:30 am prior to the services at the church on Saturday.
Graveside service will be held at 3pm at the Logan City Cemetery, 1200 East 1000 North in Logan. Condolences and thoughts may be expressed to the family online at www.allenmortuaries.net .
