Helen Priscilla Hansen Miles, born June 11, 1943 passed away peacefully at her home in Smithfield, Utah, surrounded by her family on September 26, 2015.
Helen graduated from North Cache High School in 1961. She enjoyed several years working as a beautician and helped many people feel and look their best.
Helen married the love of the life, Gerald Henry Miles, on March 9, 1962. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS temple for time and all eternity in March 1976. She enjoyed being an active member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Helen was very active and enjoyed being outdoors with her family. She loved gardening, camping, fishing, snowmobiling and boating. The boys still speak of one year she surprised them when she packed Christmas in the motor home on a vacation to Yellowstone National Park. None of them had a clue until she pulled out the decorated tree. To this day, they still can’t figure out where she hid everything. It is one of their most memorable Christmas’s. Helen also was an active member in the women’s summer softball league. Anyone that knew Helen knows that she was a natural care taker. You wouldn’t be able to go to her house without being sat down and fed a wonder home cooked meal.
Helen and Gerald brought three wonderful boys into this world. Their children were the highlight of her life. Above all she enjoyed being a mother. She is survived by her loving husband Gerald H Miles and three sons; Todd, Travis and Tyler (Teresa) and former daughter in law, LaNette Miles. Her grandchildren, Tiffany Thompson (Tommy), TJ and Tanner Miles, Austin Nielsen, Arron, Angela & Kyle Koller. Siblings Bud, Jeanine, Wayne, Lorna, John & Joey. She is preceded in death by her parents Dorius Hans (Pete) & Virginia Priscilla Hansen.
We ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the IMC transplant center 5169 South Cottonwood St # 320 Murray, UT 84107 in memory of Helen Miles
