Helen Anne Elwood

December 3, 1945 — December 31, 2008

What more can we say about Anne other than she loved and was loved by everyone she ever met in all her 63 years. Anne was a very free spirit and spread her love and energy around the world all the way from Paris to Puerta Vallarta. She was a very talented and amazing woman, able to splash her colors either by paint or through her energy on everything from her home and family and friends to many different buildings and offices. Her love for plants and animals kept her very busy in the garden and in the field. Everywhere she lived became a warm and inviting environment filled with love and energy (and lots of pillows and “dunas”) where friends and family flocked to spend time with their loved one they warmly call “Annie”. There was always plenty of good food, a candle burning to create a relaxed and inviting atmosphere and definitely great music, and when the music was playing it was always a time to dance, and boy could she dance. Doing the “bump” with Anne was always a must! Her music ranged from Willie Nelson to Andrea Boccelli. We will never forget our road trips with all the great music, especially Paul Simon’s, “Diamonds on the soles of her shoes”. Anne began and ended her life in Logan, Utah, but she didn’t spend the majority of her life there. She lived in Utah, California and New York as well as spending time in Hawaii, France and Mexico. She was always on the go making things happen whether it be cooking, cleaning, taking care of her plants and animals or caring for the loved ones who were near her at the time. Anne had the ability to turn the simplest most basic things into something spectacular which would usually make your chin drop. Anne was always the life of the party and had a way of making you feel very special when you were with her. Anne’s memory and spirit will live on through her children and her loved ones. We bless you and release you Annie and we will love you forever.

Anne is survived by her (4) children, Whitney Regan Hodge (Lynn), Robert Brannon Watts, Stefanie Noelle Thomas (Art) and Tyler David Watts as well as her (9) grandchildren Erika, Jaxon, Emily, Jake, Jeffrey, Audrey, Gavin, Chandler and Marshall. Also, her brothers and sister, Todd, Don, Linda and Jeff and her many nieces and nephews and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held in her honor in the Spring which was her favorite time of the year. The date will be April 17th, which was also her “chosen” favorite day of the year. Please note your calendars for that date in the future. The family will send out notices with the place and time. Condolences and thoughts may be expressed to the family online at www.allenmortuaries.net
