Helen G. Stuart (Oma) passed away peacefully August 14, 2010 at the Sunshine Terrace. Helen was 91 . She was born May 29, 1919 to William and Nellie Glissmeyer in Salt Lake City, Utah. Some years after Nellie passed away, Helen was raised by her beloved stepmother, Greta Glissmeyer. Helen graduated from East High School and secretarial college, both in Salt Lake City.

She married George Edouin Stuart on June 24, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. They began married life in SLC and later moved to Logan, Utah, where they raised four children. Helen spent most of her life raising and nurturing children and later, her grandchildren.

Helen impressed everyone she knew with her sweet and caring nature. She taught the Cultural Refinement Relief Society lessons at the Logan Fifteenth Ward for many years. Helen loved poetry and even up to the time of her passing enjoyed reciting her favorite poems out to family and friends. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, reading and bird watching, hummingbirds were a favorite. When her children were older she took a part time job as office manager for Culligan Soft Water.

Helen is survived by her four children, Mary (John), George, (RaNae), Bill, and Maggie (Geoffrey). She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, two brothers, and her husband. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A viewing will held at 11:00 AM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E Center, Logan, Utah. There will be a short funeral service following the viewing beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery alongside her husband. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
