Helen Jean Payne

Helen Jean Payne, 42, passed away on Friday, Sept. 23, 2005 surrounded by loving family at Logan Regional Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer.

She was born in Salt Lake City on July 15, 1963 to Wilford B. Blanchard and Lela Jean Hallenberger Blanchard. She graduated from Cyprus High School in Magna, Utah in 1982. After graduating high school she went to work for the University hospital where she met the love of her life, Ron Payne. They were married on November 19, 1988 in West Valley City and started their family there. They later moved to Logan.

Helen's interests were spending time with her husband, kids and family, camping, fishing and
traveling. If she wasn't working she was in the mountains.

She is survived by her husband Ron, son Jason W. Blanchard, daughter, Brittany Lynn Payne, parents Wilford B. and Lela J. Blanchard, siblings Tory (Mary) Blanchard, Brenda (Mike) Campbell, Sidney (Jen), Blanchard, 6 nieces and nephews and one grandmother Edith Jean Hallenberger. She was preceded in death by grandparents Ray and Helen Blanchard and Horace Hallenberger.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center St., Logan. A viewing will be held the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005 from 6 pm to
8 pm and Wednesday from 1 pm to 1 :45 pm prior to funeral services. Burial will be in the Logan Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family and a video tribute viewed at www.allenmortuaries.net
