Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and mend, Howard Mitchell Pierson, passed away November 26, 2005 in Salt Lake City after a long illness.

He was born on September 1, 1941 to Charles and Edith Marie Bird Pierson in Vallejo, California. He was the oldest of 14 children .He served in the Navy from 1957-1962. Mick had many trades including former police chief, logger, millwright, and self-employed businessman.

He married his eternal companion Linda in 1963 and they were later sealed in the Los Angeles Temple. Mick and Linda had 3 wonderful sons that he loved very much Wade, Ryan, and Malen. From these great children he was blessed with 11 grandchildren.

He was a faithful member of the LDS church serving in many callings including Bishopric, Branch President, and many scouting callings.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and his brother Eddie Pierson.

He is survived by his loving wife Linda of 42 years, his three children and their spouses: Wade (Susan), Ryan (Tobi), and Malen (Wendy), his brothers and sisters: Patricia (Bob), Chuck (Joyce), Linda, Laurie, Edie, Danny, Andy (Marie) Liz, Sharon (Grant), Becky (Steven), Sam (Lynette), and Arnie (Jaime), his 11 grandchildren, and a bazillion nieces and nephews.

Our father never turned away anyone in need and was always the first to help somebody or lend a hand. He had a great love for his family and treasured all of the friendships he made over the years. He will be dearly missed by all that had the opportunity to know this great man. His example of being a great, honest man will live through his children and grandchildren. We look forward to seeing him again in the afterlife.
