Our loving father and dearest husband returned home to the arms of his Lord and Savior on August 29, 2005. Ike was born June 13, 1931 the only child of Robert Keith and Mahala Palmer Lawlor of North Logan, Utah.
As a youth Ike was loved by his class mates and fellow boy scouts. He graduated from Logan High School in 1949. Ike joined the United States Navy during the Korean conflict where he served as a naval aviation specialist for four years. Ike married the love of his life Colleen Olney on December 24, 1953. On their 50th wedding anniversary, this union was solemnized for time and eternity in the Logan temple.
Ike and Colleen had four children. Ed (Julie), Kathy, Tim and Shawn(DeLaine). Ike was preceded in death by his daughter Kathy who passed over in 1998. Ike has seven grand children, and a great grand child very soon to arrive.
Ike and his wife owned and operated Randall’s Shoes of Logan for 22 years, a business where in they made innumerable friends in the community they served, and loved their work beyond compare. Ike was asked to join the board of directors at the Logan Golf and Country Club in 1984, but resigned his position with the board to accept the general management responsibilities of the club where he served for ten years.
Ike loved to cook and to create. He attended culinary arts school at BATC, and had a shop at home where he produced hundreds of beautiful and unique items. He was also an accomplished sculptor, glass etcher, carpenter, and photographer, with the uncanny ability to master anything he focused his interest upon. Ike was an avid golfer and fisherman. He loved our Utah mountains, and as a young man was an exceptionally talented water skier and skater.
