Ila Rae Hall Richman

Ila Rae Hall Richman, 75, of Paradise, Utah passed away quietly at her home, surrounded by family, on May 5, 2007 of cardiovascular complications.
She was born April 15, 1932 in Hyrum to William George Hall and Sarah Ellen Maness Hall. She was the tenth of eleven children and graduated from South Cache High School.
On January 4, 1951, in the Logan Temple, she married DaWayne Richman of Paradise who passed away November 27, 2006. They raised four children on their family farm in Paradise during their 55 years of marriage. Her life was filled with family, community and church service.
Throughout her life, Ila Rae was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She directed music, served as homemaking leader, Relief Society Counselor, Primary teacher, Ward Librarian, and also worked in the name extraction program.
Ila Rae served not only in the church but also in the community. She was a director in the Farm Bureau Women’s organization and organized homemaking displays at the Cache County Fair. For many years she designed and built the community booth for Paradise at the fair, winning honors and representing our county at the state fair, and she taught 4-H in the community. She was honored for her years of service by the Cache County Farm Bureau. She also volunteered at the Logan Hospital. Her life was filled with music and she, along with friends and daughters, have performed throughout the valley, and with the Bel Canto Chorus. She loved quilting.
She is survived by her children Raeleene (Shyrl) Clawson, Joyce (Lynn) Siler, Paulette (Reed) McKenna, Greg (Ann Smith) Richman; eleven grandchildren, Justin, Joni, Michael, Logan, Elise, Corey, Taren, Ryan, Shandee, Mitch and Bode; one great-grandchild, Keerin; her siblings June Jones, Shirley Colley, and Lloyd Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings: William Hall, Verde Peterson, Clyde Hall, Luella Hoskins, Fern Hall, Duane Hall, and Ina Anderson.
Ila Rae devoted her life to the service of others. She was a good example, hard working, and loving. We will celebrate her life and honor her memory always.
Funeral Services will be held at noon on Thursday, May 10th, at the Paradise Chapel, 9060 South 200 West, Paradise, UT. Friends and family may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 9th at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center in Logan, and 10:30 to 11:30 am on Thursday at the Paradise Chapel. Interment will be at the Paradise Cemetery following the service. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net .
