Iris Clark Hendrixson

March 1, 1917 — August 17, 2006

Iris Clark Hendrixson, 89, passed away from causes due to age, Thursday, August 17, 2006.

She was born March 1, 1917 in Freedom, Wyoming to Fredrick James and Martha Cumming Clark. She spent her childhood in Richmond, Utah, and graduated from North Cache High School and LDS Business College.

She married Roy Albert Hendrixson, April 19, 1946 in Portland, Oregon, later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. She met Roy while employed at Bushnell Hospital in Brigham City. Roy was a patient after being wounded in WWII. He preceded her in death May 15, 1999.

Iris was a gifted musician and artist. The picture of Wayne Estes at the USU Spectrum is proof of her artistic ability. Her intellect would astound everyone as she knew every answer on Jeopardy, or could Name That Tune in 2 to 3 notes. Her love for her children and the sacrifices willingly accepted to make sure all was provided for cannot be described in words.

Mom, we all love you so much! We can only hope you are dancing with Dad once again.

She is survived by her six children; Diane (Roy J. Towery) SLC, Douglas, (Denver, CO), Dennis, (Norma) Maryland, Lynn (Susan) River Heights, Kathleen (Steven Creer) SLC, and Lori (Mike Arnold) SLC. 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great- grandchild. A sister Olive Clayton, St. Louis, MO.

The family would like to thank the Sunshine Terrace; Dr. Bryan Carlson and Anna (Hospice)

Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Tuesday, August 22, at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center Street, Logan. A viewing will be held from 10:30 - 11:45 prior to services.
