Ivaloo Anderson Sorensen, 84 died May 30, 2008, in Farmington, Utah.
She was born November 30, 1923 to Cyrus and Violet Nielsen Anderson. Violet died in 1937. Cyrus later married Hazel Nye.
Ivaloo married Leonard Wayne Sorensen February 12, 1942, in the Logan LDS Temple. He died in 1996.
Mother and Dad worked together on their farm in College Ward. Mother cooked many meals for farm hands. Her daughters remember taking endless amounts of Koolaid to hay fields for the workers. In later years they bought a motor home and traveled, but never far from home. Their favorite place to camp was Wood Camp up Logan Canyon in the rain.
Mother liked pretty things. She was a beautiful seamstress and enjoyed knitting, reading, playing the piano and singing. Her biggest joy in life was being with her four (most charming) daughters. Unlike her husband Wayne, who drove a very little red car, mother had a fondness for very long blue cars.
Mother was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Mother lived in College Ward until December of 2000. She then moved to Country Care in Farmington, Utah.
Ivaloo is survived by Violet and Larry Brandon, Centerville; Elain Gleed, SLC; Ruth and Dennis Peterson, Smithfield; Coreen (Cory) and Lewis Winward, South Williard; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren (with 2 more on the way). She is also survived by two brothers, Farrell (Pauline) Anderson and Arlyn (Judy) Anderson; and one sister-in-law, Emma Lou Vincent
Mother was preceded in death by her husband, her parents her step-mother Hazel, brother Russell N. Anderson, sister Alice, son-in-law Douglas M. Gleed, and an infant grandson Shayne Gleed.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Tuesday, June 3 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center St, in Logan.
