Ivy Marquerite Lundberg Leonhardt

May 4, 1912 — July 6, 2005

PROVIDENCE, UTAH; Ivy Marguerite Lundberg Leonhardt
passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at the age of
93 at the Logan Regional Hospital.
She was born on May 4, 1912 in Salt Lake City, Utah
to Ephraim and Eliza Jane Green. She married Norman
V. Leonhardt on June 29, 1937 in Brigham City, Utah,
they were later sealed in the Logan Temple on June 17,
1942.
Ivy was raised in River Heights, Utah and educated in
the county schools, graduating from South Cache High
School. She moved to Providence, Utah in 1937 where
they made their home and raised their four children.
A Quote from Ivy: “I have worked all my life from
early childhood, picking fruit, hoeing beets, milking
cows, selling hardware, wallpaper and yes, even
Yahama’s. From there a supply clerk at Hill Air Force
Base, and finally an audit clerk at the Internal
Revenue Service, retiring at 65, hoping my life can
still be fruitful.”
In deed, mom’s life was fruitful serving in various
Church positions and always served willingly. Her
love for genealogy took her to England to further
research her family history, and also completed a
stake genealogy library mission.
Ivy’s hobbies include, quilting, sewing, knitting and
crocheting. It has been said that there is not a
neighbor, a friend or a family member, and many others
around that doesn’t own a piece of mon’s handy work.
Her greatest joys were her family, and her family
will greatly miss her.
She is survived by her husband, Norman V. Leonhardt
of Providence; her son, Ivan N. (Vona Vee) Leonhardt
of Montpelier, Idaho; three daughters; Ivy Doreen
(Wendell G.) Blauer of River Heights; Arlean (Bill)
Cravalho of Providence; and Judie (Ted) Woolf of
Paradise. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren,
38 great-grandchildren and 2
great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one
