HONEYVILLE, UTAH: : Jerry Cecil Chlarson passed away peacefully on June 29, 2014. He was born in Honeyville, Utah on January 26, 1929 to Lyman and LaVoy Chlarson and was the 7th of 8 children.
Cecil was always quick to laugh and everyone was a friend he hadn’t met. He was the friendliest guy in the room and always had time to chat. His life’s passions were farming, ranching, and trucking. He was a prominent member of the livestock community, known throughout the West. He owned a livestock trucking company and was a Cattle Buyer for EA Miller. He also had his pilot license, enjoyed fishing, reading History, and playing the guitar.
He inherited a strong work ethic from his father and grandfather. From a young age, he worked with them on their farm and ranch. Cecil graduated from Box Elder High School and was voted State FFA President, he was later named Utah’s Outstanding Young Farmer of the Year. He also attended Utah State University.
Cecil married Mildred Taylor and had 4 children. He later married Lucille Wennergren. Cecil was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survived by his wife Lucille; daughter Jerilyne (Marlin) Hill – Rexburg, ID; son Alan (Sandi) – Moses Lake, WA; daughter Linda DuBois – Riverton, UT and daughter-in-law Tric Chlarson Powell – Logan; daughter Gloria Skanchy – Ogden; daughter Sheila Thurston – Smithfield; son Steven (Jennifer) Wennergren - Clinton; siblings Joyce Frisby, Uleah Flamm, Quinn (Ann) Chlarson; 29 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; son Edward; son-in-law Michael DuBois; and siblings Berma Orme, Varsel Chlarson, Ila Rasmussen, and Rae Burt.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E Center St., Logan. A visitation will be held prior to the services from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. Condolences may be sent to the family at
