Jacob B. Sorenson

Jacob Bradley Sorenson, 32, of Logan, Utah, died Monday, June 17, 2013 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Jake was born on 22 March, 1981 in Logan, to Gerri Waters Scholdei and Bradley F. Sorenson.
Jake was full of energy and tenacity from the moment of his birth. He learned to run without stopping before he learned to walk. This set a tone for Jake's entire life--full throttle. Whether snowboarding, longboarding, mountain biking, surfing, or golfing, Jake gave his full heart to every endeavor. He was a natural talent, but more importantly, he simply had a huge heart.
Jake graduated from Logan High School where he lettered in golf and soccer. He attended Utah State University and the University of Utah, and lived in Salt Lake City. He also spent time in San Luis Obispo, California.
Jake pushed the boundaries in life, and had challenges and struggles, but in the end found a positive direction and perspective. Jake will be remembered for his incredible love for life, love for family and friends, his empathy and connection to others, regrettably, his love for speed, but most of all--for his smile--his beautiful, unfaltering, dimpled smile.
Jake is survived by his parents; Gerri Waters and Dr. Ralf Scholdei of Heidelberg, Germany, and Bradley and Lauri Sorenson of Logan. Siblings, Jessica Lin (Joseph) Andersen of Leesburg, Virginia; James Richard (Cecily) of Heidelberg, Germany, Jonathan Evan of Logan, Leonie and Sophie Klinke of Heidelberg, Germany. Grandparents; Lois Sorenson of Logan, Connie and Bruce McFarland of Farmington, Utah, Richard W. Waters of Rigby, Idaho, Raymond and LouAnn Hlavaty of Logan. Jake is also survived by two nieces and a nephew, many loving cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Jake was preceded in death by his hero and grandfather, Evan J. Sorenson of Logan.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 24th June at noon at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan, Utah. A viewing will be held on Sunday, 23rd of June, from 6-8 pm at Allen-Hall Mortuary, and prior to funeral services at 10:30 to 11:30 am.
