James A. Furfaro
Jim Furfaro, 38, was killed in a car accident on September 22, 2006. He was on his way to work at his perfect job as a mechanical engineer (rocket scientist).
He was born February 18, 1968 in Ramapo, NY to Joseph and Kathleen Romansky Furfaro. He married Jackie Braun on September 14, 1991 in her hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada. He lived in Logan, Utah for 13 years.
He graduated from Clarkstown South High School in 1986. He graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1997 and a Master of Science in 2003. Both of his college degrees were in Mechanical Engineering, a field in which he excelled. He started working at ATK Launch Systems Group (Thiokol) in 1998 as an engineer.
He is survived by his two little munchkins; his daughter Stephanie is 7 and his daughter Cassidy is almost 4. He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie. He is survived by his parents Joseph and Kathleen and sister Karen Smith and her family. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts and uncles.
Jim was a very devoted and loving husband and father. He was a very good friend and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He loved having fun with his kids and wife, on his unicycles, doing tai chi, playing racquetball, and playing on his computer.
He was a very wonderful man who was taken much too soon.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at 2:00 pm. In the Allen Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center , Logan, Utah . Friends and family may call at the mortuary on Tuesday evening, September 26, 2006 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. And on Wednesday one hour prior to services.
