James Bradley Burrell
James Bradley Burrell, 55, died peacefully Sunday morning, December 7, 2008 at his Logan City apartment following a long illness. He was born February 24, 1953 in Logan, the son of Hubert Lynn Burrell and Doris Hyde Burrell.
A life-long resident of Cache Valley, he attended school in North Logan and graduated from Sky View High School in 1971. Following high school, he attended and graduated from the Denver Diesel and Automotive School. He returned to Logan where he worked for many years at Moore Business Forms as a Press Operator. He married Kathleen Barber; later divorced.
Brad was kind and gentle and generous with what little he had. He was curious and enjoyed learning about and discussing astronomy and history. He was nostalgic and collected objects that were old and had special meaning. He was particularly fond of vintage automobiles and loved to attend car shows. He had an artistic side that came out in hand drawn sketches and decor that hung on his walls. He had a passion for music. When he was young he played the guitar and as an adult, maintained a large collection of Blues music. However, his greatest passion was for his son, Colby, who was always in his thoughts. He loved his family, and had a special relationship with his mother. He was loved by his entire family and will be missed.
He is survived by his son, Daniel Colby Burrell (Jamie), and grandson Bradley James of Ogden, Utah; his mother, Doris H. Burrell, of North Logan, Utah; two sisters, Peggy C. Skaggs of Park Ridge, New Jersey, and Janet C. Karren (Dale) of Farmington, Utah; and one brother, Burt H. Burrell of Midvale, Utah. He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Lynn Burrell, and an infant son.
A memorial service will be held Friday, December 12, at 11am in the Relief Society room of the LDS Chapel located at 1850 North 400 East, North Logan. Interment will follow in the Hyde Park City Cemetery.
