Jane Burrell Nyman (caption under photo) "Together forever"
North Logan, Utah: Jane B, Nyman, 96, died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Sunshine Terrace in Logan, Utah. Jane was born September 27, 1915, the oldest child of Hubert and Rose Bradley Burrell.
Jane was born in Paradise, Utah and later her family moved to North Logan where she attended Cache County Schools and graduated from South Cache High School. Her adult life was spent in North Logan, College Ward, and in River Heights.
Jane and her high school sweetheart, Andrew Junior Nyman were married in the Logan Temple on June 23, 1937. She is survived by her best friend and sister Jean (Carl deceased) Nyman, and her five children; Judy (Lynn) Fergus, Jay (Coy) Nyman, John (JoAnn) Nyman, Jolene (Kent, deceased) Laird, and JeNae (Wayne) Roberts. She was the proud Grandma to 23 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
Jane was blessed to be able to be a stay-at-home mother where she could focus all her time and talents towards her home and family. She always had a spotless house, and was an excellent cook. She will be long remembered for her delicious candy, fruit cake, bread, and rolls.
Jane was a faithful church member and enjoyed serving others. She was an exceptionally devoted visiting teacher and brightened many lives with her kind deeds. A compassionate woman, Jane was forever baking goodies for a new neighbor or for a family with a new baby.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband Junior, a brother, Hubert Burrell, a sister, Gwen Lipscomb, a son-in-law, Kent Laird, and a great-grandson, Jason Thayle Veibell.
Jane and her family are very thankful for the love and care she received from Dr. Nathan Call and the staff at the Sunshine Terrace.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in the Providence City Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the Allen Mortuary of North Logan, 420 East 1800 North in North Logan. Condolences may be sent to the family at
