Jason Lasell Crook Ii

December 1, 1975 — July 1, 2008

Logan, Utah -Jason LaSell Crook, 32, our father, son, husband, and brother returned
to his Father in Heaven on July 1, 2008, at his home in Logan.

Jason was born December 1, 1975, in Jacksonville, Florida, son of Jason LaSell Crook and
Karen Sue Stein.

Jason went to elementary school in Hyrum, where he lived with his father Jason and mother
Tricia.
He graduated from High School in Jacksonville, Florida, where he lived for a time with
his mother Karen and his step father Ralph Melvin. Jason met his life long friend Keith
Davis when he was living in Florida and they have remained very close friends.
Jason moved back to Utah after high school where he met Aaron Mikesell and Nick Hicks,
who have been his best friends and football buddies. Jason joined the Air Force and was
stationed at Hill Air Force Base for his tour of duty. Jason met and married Amber Dockstader
in 2002, they were later divorced.

Jason learned his skill as a machinist from his father and graduated the Machinist program
from Bridgerland Applied Technology College.
He has worked at several machine shops in the Salt Lake area before moving back to Logan.


Jason loved getting together and playing games and sports with his family. He loved playing
golf with his brother Bill and volleyball with all his brothers and sisters. He enjoyed
hunting with his father and brothers. He lived life to the fullest and was a joy to be around.
He had a great sense of humor and loved teasing anyone who was around him.

Jason met Stacy Hansen while working in Salt Lake. They were married February 24, 2007,
in Hyrum, Utah. Stacy is Jason’s best friend, wife, companion, and true love.
Together they have a daughter, Alayda; and a son, Zarien LaSell. Stacy gave Jason the chance
of fulfilling a life long dream of being a father and that was the most important thing to him.
He was a very loving father who loved getting on the ground and playing with his children.
He loved taking them places so that he could show them new things and teaching them
about what it means to be a family.

At the time of his death Jason was the night foreman at Mountain View Machine & Welding.
He work closely with his father Jason and brother Rob at the family owned business
and will be deeply missed as part of our team and by all his family.
He will also be missed by all those that worked with him at the shop.
Jason is survived by his wife Stacy, his daughter Alayda and his son Zarien; his parents
Jason & Patricia Crook of Hyrum, Utah; his mother Karen Melvin of Jacksonville,
Florida; brothers and sisters, Cynthia Giammarinaro (Steve) of San Diego, California; Teresa
Yates (Zigfreid Sherlock) of Jacksonville, Florida; Bill Archibald (Melinda) of Hyrum,
Utah; Rob Crook (Jessica) of Nibley, Utah; Jamie Spence (Derek) of Page, Arizona;


Jackie Crook (Lance Stark) of Nibley, Utah; Jessica and Jake Crook of Hyrum, Utah. Grandmother Violet Petersen; Great-Grandmother Mary Nielsen; Grandmother Marilyn Nye; Grandparents Robert & Sheila Smith all of Hyrum, Utah. Jason will be greatly missed by 9 nephews and 6 nieces who he loved dearly. He is also survived by Jim & Kathy Hansen of American Falls, Idaho; Katlynn Bowman (Tyson) of Prest n, Idaho; Travis Hansen (Jen) of American Falls, Idaho. Jason will be missed by many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2008, at the Allen-Hall
Mortuary located at 34 East Center Street in Logan, Utah. There will be a viewing held Sunday, July 6, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.and also on Monday, July 7, 2008, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at the Hyrum City Cemetery located at 500 East Main Street. Condolences may be extended to the family on line at www.allenmortuaries.net
