On February 14, 2014, we lost a husband, father, grandfather, friend, and car enthusiast. Jay Kresie lost his battle with Leukemia early Friday morning, surrounded by family.
He was born on September 7, 1939 in Logan, UT to Vernon and Amy Kresie. He grew up in his family home in Providence, where he eventually built his own home. He worked diligently for Legrand Johnson’s Construction for 45 years before retiring to tinker with his “treasures”.
Jay was loved by many and could make a friend anywhere he went. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Vickie; Children: Heather (Randy) Anderson, Steven (Dani) Kresie, & JaNae (Shane) Fraughton and four loving Grandchildren: Dustin & Kaden Anderson and Brook & Colton Kresie. He is preceded in death by his father, brother, and mother.
The viewing will be held at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan on Monday, February 17, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. An additional viewing will be held at Allen-Hall Mortuary on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 9:30-10:30 A.M., followed by a memorial service held at the mortuary at 11:00 A.M. A procession to the graveside service will follow and we ask that anyone with a classic car join the procession to the Providence City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at

The family would like to thank Dr. Maready & his wonderful nursing staff. The staff at the Logan Regional Hospital Infusion Center for the compassionate care and friendship they showed Jay and the love and support of his amazing friends who always brought smiles to his face.
To continue his fight against cancer, the family asks that donations in lieu of flowers be made in his honor at cachevalleyforhope.org.
