Jeanette Johnson Campbell

Jeanette Johnson Campbell passed away following a sudden stroke on Thursday February 4th, she was 57.

She graduated Bear River High school, an honor student and six year Spanish club member. She was the stage director for the school musical “Brigadoon”, which imbued an unshakable love for musicals that lasted her whole life.

She started her education at Weber State University in the late 70’s, and was a member of the Phi Gamma for two years, the FHA, and the Future Nurses club. She took a break from higher education to raise her daughter, but came back and completed her schooling in 2007 receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.

While working at Thiokol in the early 80’s as a Quality Control Inspector, she met her sweetheart Val Don Campbell. She asked him out and they were married on November 26th, 1986 in the Logan Temple. She dedicated her life to him through his health challenges and through many wonderful adventures.

She had energy enough to raise a dozen kids, but poured it all into raising her only child Stacy.
There simply isn’t enough room here to convey the closeness they shared.

As a homemaker, she was simply a constant firecracker of ideas, and creativity. If she was asked to bring a side dish to a family function she planned three, even if it meant being late.
She had the fullest of gardens and perennially showcased these skills with her cooking, and canning. This extended to her passion about emergency preparedness as well.

Jeanette was committed to helping others and she demonstrated that through her dedication to groups like the Red Cross, and the Health Department’s Medical Reserve Corps. She served as the program’s coordinator for Cache County.

She was with the program from nearly the beginning 12 years ago and participated in many training events, including a Zombie Apocalypse training event in Utah County.

She put many of these skills to use when she went to Alabama with the Red Cross to help with disaster relief in April of 2011. She was there for weeks after several states were hit with a super outbreak of tornados.

Val and Jeanette both enjoyed serving the community, and their church, as HAM radio operators. Old and new friendships have been formed through the BARC (Bridgerland Amateur Radio Club) by giving numerous community service hours for races and rides such as LOTOJA, Bear 100, the Little Red, Top of Utah, and many more.

Jeanette is survived by her loving daughter, Stacy (Matt) Stewart, along with three wonderful grandchildren: Lili, Walter, and Damon; Jeanette's mother, Joyce Johnson; four brothers: Jeff (Wendy) Johnson, Dan Johnson, Jim (Tamera) Johnson, and Alan (Misty) Johnson; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held Monday, February 8, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan, Utah.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at 11 a.m at the Crockett Ward Chapel, 325 Lauralin Drive, Logan, Utah, with a viewing prior to the funeral from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
