Jeffery Balls

Providence, Utah: Jeffery Lynn Balls, 57, passed away in his sleep on Friday, January 6, 2012 at his home in Providence.
Jeff was born on February 7, 1954 in Logan, Utah to Lynn and Ruth Baxter Balls. He married Karie Sant on February 2, 1996 in the Logan LDS Temple. He graduated from Logan High School and Bridgerland Tech. He was currently employed at ThermoFisher.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His life was lived in Cache Valley, in RIver Heights and Providence.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Karie Sant-Balls and 5 step-sons, Nathan (Sunniesa) Rogers of Redding, CA, Brandon Rogers of Bountiful, UT, Derek (Jennifer) Rogers of Logan, UT, Nicholas Linkey of Providence, UT and Brady Linkey of Providence, UT. He is also survived by 6 step-grandchildren, one brother, Mike Balls and two sisters, Marilyn (Steve) Hone of Farmington, UT and Carol (Jim) Laub of Logan, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Ruth Balls.
Jeff loved the gospel of Jesus Christ, his companion and best friend, Karie, and his step-sons and grandchildren (who was especially proud of them), his family, friends and his pet dogs and cat, Lizzie. He loved Logan Canyon, whether it be driving through to see the scenery or going for a hike. We love and will miss you Jeff. We look forward to being with you again.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in the Providence 4th Ward Chapel, 155 North 100 East in Providence. A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E Center Street in Logan and prior to services at the church on Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Interment will be in the Providence City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
