Jeffrey L. Astle passed away on April 19th 2012 in Irvine Hospital in California at the age of 39. Jeff was born on March 13, 1973 in Logan, Utah to Ernest D. and Sylvia W. Astle. Jeff completed his schooling from Logan High and attended Utah State University and graduated with a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering and then continued on to obtain a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering in Solid Works. Jeff was hired on at ATK Promontory Point as an engineer with the Space Program working on the Ares 1 and Ares 1-X for 12 years until the layoff in May 2010. Then, Jeff went to Bridgerland Applied Technology College.
Jeff spent many happy times four wheeling, camping, motorcycle riding, and working on his muscle cars. Jeff has many great friends and a pet dog named Brit.
He is survived by his parents Ernest and Sylvia Astle (Logan, UT) and a brother, David Astle and wife Amy (San Diego, California). Jeff’s brother Steven Astle preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday April 30th 2012 at Allen Hall Mortuary located at 34 East Center Street Logan UT. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm, Sunday April 29, 2012 at the Mortuary and Monday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
