Jeffrey Paul Ford, age 59, of Smithfield, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the Ogden Regional Hospital.
Jeffrey was born on April 3, 1954 to William Clinton Ford and Laura Jean Sowards in Logan, Utah. He attended Sky View High School. He married Lisa Richardson on February 14, 1987 in Reno, NV.
He was a true trucker, hauling everything from cattle to heavy equipment. He worked for LeGrand Johnson Construction for 10 years and Staker Parsons for 18 years.
He loved sitting in his backyard in the evenings admiring his garden of many tomato and pepper plants which he loved sharing with family and friends. He also loved his fishing trips with friends and hunting with family. He loved collecting and restoring antiques. He is truly loved and will be missed by his entire family. Everyone will miss his “check-in” calls.
He is survived by his wife Lisa Ford, his children Cody Ford (Allison) of Amalga, and Misty (Eric) Murray of Nibley. His siblings Elaine (Karl) Straub, Smithfield; Nancy (Bob) Hartman, Morgan; Susan (Dave) Daniels, Spokane, WA; Michael (Tonya) Ford, Kingman, AZ; Mark (Diane) Ford, South Jordan, UT; Charles Ford, Elwood, UT; his mother-in-law Marva Richardson, Cache Junction; his brothers-in-law Chris (Cynthia) Richardson, Smithfield; Morris Yates, Blackfoot, ID; and sister-in-law Lana Pleisch, Cache Junction; 2 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents William and Jean Ford, his brother Kenneth Ford and his sister Laura Yates; his father-in-law Gerald Richardson.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 in the Smithfield City Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at
