Jennie Verner White

December 2, 1922 — March 26, 2012

Jennie Verner Edgecombe White, 89, passed away peacefully at her home in North Logan, UT on March 26, 2012. She was born on 2 December 1922, the youngest of 10 children, of Leonard & Clara (Freemon) Edgecombe in Decatur, IL. In 1940 she was married to Dewey Chad White in St Louis, MO, later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1945. They lived in San Francisco until 1952. They then moved to Pleasant Hill, CA where they lived for the next 44 years, until finally moving to North Logan. She was preceded in death by her husband, all 9 of her brothers & sisters & 1 great grandchild. She was a loving Mother and took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Lynn) Teuscher (San Diego), Chad (Carolyn) Smith-White (San Francisco), Ken (Cindy) White (North Logan), 15 grandchildren, & 24 great grandchildren. She was active in the PTA when her children were in school, as well as having served in many positions in the LDS Church, including 12-years as YW President, and almost 20-years as a worker in the Oakland Temple. There will be a viewing at 11:00 am on Saturday March 31 immediately prior to services, which will start at noon in the LDS Church at 1650 E 2600 N, North Logan.
