Jennifer Treiber, beloved mother, wife, daughter, and sister died at home on July 22 after a valiant battle with cancer; she was 45 years old.
Born on November 17, 1962, at Logan Hospital, Jennifer Jean Kindred was the daughter of Theodore and the late Patricia Kindred of Hyrum, Utah. Jennifer attended public school in Cache Valley at Lincoln Elementary, South Cache Jr. High, and graduated from Sky View High School.
Over the years, Jennifer lived in Logan and Salt Lake City; Bend, Oregon; and St. Louis, Missouri where she met her husband Sean. No matter how far she traveled, Jennifer always returned to Hyrum, the place she considered home. Jennifer and Sean were married in Hyrum on August 5, 2000. Sean’s unwavering care and encouragement gave Jennifer strength throughout her illness.
Jennifer was a gifted artist with wonderful hands who worked with oil paints, water colors, sketches, and fabric producing many creations that she generously shared with family and friends. She was a musician who played the piano, violin, and had a beautiful singing voice. The music she created will be missed as will her sense of humor and laughter.
Jennifer had many fun hobbies including yard sales where she had a knack for great finds. She also repaired cars, worked in her yard and garden, and took on all types of building projects. Her good fortune with slot machines and lottery tickets was amazing to behold! Jennifer was never afraid to tackle anything.
Jennifer’s interests included Cache Valley history and she and her husband and children were in the process of renovating their brick Victorian home when she became ill. Many people knew Jennifer from the help she gave her father with local historical projects and at his home in Hyrum. Jennifer loved animals and always had a houseful of pets, including her Chihuahua Rosco who guarded her ferociously.
Above all, Jennifer was a devoted mother to Felicia, her daughter, and her son Patrick. It was her greatest wish to be with them as they grow up and to watch their lives unfold. In that hope she fought courageously and was an inspiration to those around her. We believe, as she often said, that she will always be with them and watch over them.
Jennifer is survived by her husband Sean Treiber, son Patrick, daughter Felicia (Jason Low), father Ted Kindred, sisters Becky Kindred, Kathy Lake, Patty Miller, Linda Pisano, and brother Tim Kindred, and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Allen-Hall Mortuary at 34 E Center Street, Logan, Utah on Friday, July 25 from 6:00-8:00 pm. A viewing for family and friends will be held Saturday, 9:30-10:30 followed by funeral service at 11:00 at the 5th Ward Church in Hyrum, located at 111 N. 400 West.
