Jeremy Luane Barrett, affectionately known as the Jedi Master was reunited with his grandfather, long-time mentor and fishing companion Luane Larsen, when he passed unexpectedly in Mead, Colorado, Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Born April 11, 1973, he was the oldest child of mother Tana Larsen Jacobsen.
Jeremy was rarely witnessed without a smile, and cared more for others than himself. Nieces and nephews of Jeremy dubbed him the Jedi Master for of his affinity of Star Wars throughout his life, as well as their fondness toward him. Jeremy cared deeply for children, and especially adored his nieces and nephews. Every time he held them, hugged them or gave them a high-five, he treated them like they were the world.
Selfless is a word that personifies Jeremy, as he was happy when others were happy. While guests at his home, a friend of Jeremy's recalls him sleeping on the floor so their 4-year old could take his bed.
Other than his love for family, Jeremy was passionate about the outdoors, and appreciated the little things in life. To him, watching the sun rise with his feet in the lake was paradise to him.
While his permanently affixed smile will be missed, the memory of the Jedi Master will live on.
Jeremy is survived by his grandmother Theone Larsen, mother Tana Larsen Jacobson, Step-Father Richard Jacobson as well as one brother, and four sisters, a step-brother and step-sister, and closest friends Kenny and Nena Leatham.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center Street in Logan. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Condolences may be sent to the family at
