Jessie Lee Seamons died February 12, 2006 at the home of her daughter in Hyde Park, Utah. She was born October 25, 1907 in Hyde Park to John Ernest and Hattie Vilate Reeder Lee. She was the middle child with Ernest, Preston and Maud older and Mary, Glenn and Virginia younger. She was the last living member of the family and had lived all 98 years of her life in Hyde Park - being a true Hyde Parker.
She attended school in Hyde Park for 8 years and graduated from North Cache High
School.
She married G. Vernal Seamons on June 11, 1930 in the Logan LDS Temple. They had been married for 66 years when he passed away on July 20, 1996. They were the parents of two children, a son Lynn Lee and a daughter Kay.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a firm testimony of its truthfulness. She served in all of the church auxiliaries in the Ward and in the Stake Relief Society. She was a temple officiator for more than 25 years.
She was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She made lovely handwork. She and Vernal grew beautiful flowers and vegetables each year and loved sharing their produce with friends and neighbors. She was an avid reader having read hundreds of books. She always enjoyed a good
game of Rook.
She was thankful for what she had. Even at the end of her life, she said thank you for each act of service she received, even for the smallest kindness.
She blessed many people's lives through her thoughtfulness. She was kind and gentle and always a refined lady. She was beautiful outside and inside. She was a wonderful, sweet and loving mother and a very much loved and special grandma to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Lynn Lee Seamons and Kay (Vincent) Erickson, 11 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, a brother-in-law Linden (Dorothy) Seamons and a sister-in-law LuJean (Randall - deceased) Nilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Ernest Reeder (Virginia) Lee, Preston Reeder (Mae) Lee, Glenn Jay Lee and sisters: Maud (Louis) Miller, Mary (Orlin) Hunsaker and Virginia Clair (L. Tom) Perry.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, February 16, 2006 in the Hyde Park 9th Ward chapel, 65 East Center Street with Bishop Scott Erickson conducting. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, February 15,2006 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. at the Allen-Cranney Mortuary, 420 East 1800 North, North Logan and from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the church in Hyde Park.
