Jessie Ricks Gustaveson

Logan, Utah: Jessie Ricks Gustaveson, 89, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2008.
She was born on September 23, 1919 in Logan, Utah to Wallace and Annie D. Ricks. She married Ervin Gustaveson in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 23, 1940. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple.
She lived in Benson, Utah during her childhood and attended school in Benson, Smithfield and graduated from North Cache High School.
Jessie was an active Relief Society teacher. She was also a Cub Scout leader in her younger years. She loved to go to Arizona in the winter months. Jessie and Ervin enjoyed many trips together. She was an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Jessie is a cherished and beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Rex (Tammy) Gustaveson of Providence, Utah and Ron (Sue) Gustaveson of Logan, Utah. She is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, a brother, Duane Ricks and a sister, Betty (Jay) Goodsell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin, her parents, Wallace and Annie Ricks, four brothers, Hal Ricks, Des Ricks, Leo Ricks and Lavern Ricks and two sisters, Blanch Bench and Geneva Baxter.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff at the Sunshine Terrace and the Intermountain Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan. There will be a viewing at the mortuary from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
