Jim Morgan

Austin (Jim) H. Morgan passed away on the 11th of November, 2011. He was born Oct. 19, 1914 in Millville, Utah. He was the son of Elizabeth B. & Ernest L. Morgan.
Jim graduated from South Cache High School. He married Marjorie Hancey Feb. 20, 1936.
Jim was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and he worked in the MIA and was on the geneology committee for several years. He also attended the temple for several years.
Jim worked for Logan City for 29 years as a diesel operator and 13 years as manager of Logan City Cemetery. He worked part-time for Joe Jacobsen Construction Company.
Jim loved the outdoors and loved being in the mountains in his jeep and snowmobile. He took his jeep to the top of Mt. Logan (his was the first motorized vehicle to the top). He and Marj enjoyed traveling by plane, car, train, boat, or trailer throughout the world.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marj, and a son Howard Lee. He was the last of 9 children born to Elizabeth and Ernest. His sibling who proceeded him in death were Rula, Elva, Erma, Elwood, Zelda, Ines, Darwin, and Delton, and a grandson Howard William Hunt.
He is survived by 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 15th from 10:30-11:30 at Allen-Hall Mortuary (34 E. Center St.). At the request of the deceased only graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon at the Logan City Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the Care Providers at the Cache Valley Living Center in Providence, Terrace Grove, & Alpine Hospice for their loving care.
