Johanna J Wilson

Our beautiful wife, mother and grandma passed away on October 6, 2012 in Mesa Arizona.

Johanna or Jo (as many of her friends called her) was born on September 4, 1942 in Berlin Germany. Johanna met the love of her life and best friend James (Jim) Wilson in Berlin Germany where Jim was stationed in the Army. Jim and Johanna married on December 21, 1962 and moved to Twin Falls Idaho. They moved to Logan Utah in 1968 so that Jim could attend Utah State University. Together Jim and Johanna owned and operated the Credit Bureau of Logan and CheckRite of Logan for 40 years. Throughout her life Johanna was involved in the business with Jim. Johanna held many officer positions within trade associations and they traveled together attending meetings and making friends.

Those who knew Johanna knew instantly she was special and she treated everyone as family. Her poise and elegant demeanor made everyone comfortable and relaxed to be around her. Johanna treasured the time she spent with her friends bowling at Logan Lanes and golfing at Logan Country Club. After her retirement in 2006 Jim and Johanna moved to Fountain of the Sun in Mesa Arizona where they spent time making new friends and catching up with old friends. While she loved golf her passion was flowers. She spent endless hours tending to her flower gardens even taking on her friend’s flowers that needed her special touch to grow strong.

Jim and Johanna formed a special bond in Show Low, Arizona, Norma Gene or Genie to her friends. They had a bond that rarely comes between friends so much so that Johanna called Genie her mom. They spent hours talking and planting flowers her time with Genie was truly special.

Jim and Johanna’s life is a love story one unmatched by any other. From Berlin, Germany to becoming a United State citizen to making a wonderful life for her family Johanna did it all with elegance and grace. She is truly an angel and we got to be in her light. To everyone who knew Johanna we would like to extend our appreciation to you for your thoughts and prayers you are all so kind we love you and we love our angel.

Johanna is survived by her love James (Jim) Wilson Mesa, AZ, Mario (Minako) Wilson Castle Rock, CO, Teresa (Lonnie) Maughan Brigham City, UT, and Marlon (Jill) Wilson Nibley, UT. Along with eight very special grand children.
