My darling Johnie returned to our Heavenly Father and Mother July 10th, 2011, at 2:35 a.m. He was 84.
Johnie was born to John Henry Bradshaw, Sr. and Grace Marie Zingg Bradshaw March 13th, 1927 in Superior, Wisconsin. He was the last of his family of one brother, Franklin James Bradshaw, and one sister, Phyllis Marie Bradshaw Matushak, three uncles and three aunts and one cousin, Marjorie Oyaas Bjorkman. Johnie married Dolores (Lory) Ruth Basterash on December 17th, 1949 in Superior, Wisconsin. They have two sons, John Henry Bradshaw, III, and Jeffrey Franklin Bradshaw. Also surviving Johnie are his wife, Lory, of 62 years; daughter-in-law, Carol Bradshaw; granddaughter, Dena Roe; grandsons, Christopher Byrd, and Billy Byrd; great-grandsons, Joshua and Ryan; great-granddaughters, Jessica and Savannah; nephews, James Bradshaw, and Timothy Bradshaw; niece, Kimberly Bradshaw and grand-nephew Nathan.
Johnie and Lori, and their two sons were sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles, CA Temple September 12th, 1970. Johnie served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and was a high priest. He served ten years with his wife, Lorie, doing sealings and two years in the baptistry in the Logan temple.
Johnie served in the navy in WWII in the Philippines. He had a great love of music and played the clarinet. Johnie also directed the Cache Community Band for several years. He played in Dave England’s dance band. He also played in the Duluth, Minnesota Symphony.
We love you so very much, my darling, and we will be so happy to see you again. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humanitarian Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
